Senior UX Engineer
ThreeFlow is on a mission to revolutionize the way the insurance ecosystem connects and collaborates. We are looking for teammates who are naturally curious and love to ask questions, even when it means questioning industry standards. We cultivate an inclusive culture where everyone can contribute, grow, and feel valued.
As we evolve, we are building our first official design system to empower our designers and engineers with a unified, scalable, and delightful user experience.
We’re excited to add a Senior UX Engineer to our Product Design team to lead the development of our first design system. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable design and development processes from the ground up. You will start by defining and implementing the core of the system, including tokens, components, and best practices. As the design system matures, you will shift to support teams across the organization, ultimately enhancing our front-end consistency and usability. This role will report to the Director of Product Design and is based remotely within the US.
About the role

Develop and maintain standards for component creation, token management, and system governance. Design scalable solutions for current and future needs.
- Drive collaboration and adoption: Work closely with front-end engineers, UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment, adoption, and seamless integration of the design system. Participate in day-to-day team rituals like design critiques, story creation, and stand-ups. Facilitate requirements discussions and reviews with stakeholders to create alignment on solutions.
- Champion user experience: Ensure the design system contributes to high-quality, consistent user experiences. Continuously iterate on the design system to enhance usability and meet user needs, focusing on delivering a seamless and delightful experience. Identify opportunities to improve the user experience and champion ideas within Design and across the company.
- Develop tooling and maintain component library: Work with cross-functional teams to develop front-end tooling and maintain a reusable component library with a focus on quality, scalability, and developer experience. Break down complex challenges into manageable solutions and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Vision and implementation: Build a compelling vision for the design system and ensure its implementation aligns with practical, implementable standards. Create patterns and processes that are easily adopted by others and drive consistency across teams.
About you

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between design and engineering.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around common standards.
- Track record of delivering scalable, reliable technical solutions and leading large cross-functional projects.
