Our client, a cutting-edge digital agency specializing in innovative web solutions, is seeking a Web Developer to support the development and delivery of high-quality web projects. This role involves setting up codebases, configuring CMS platforms, developing reusable components, and ensuring seamless integration of content and functionality. Location: Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM EST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Boilerplate Setup and Configuration: Establish initial codebases and frameworks to ensure efficient and scalable development. Configure project environments, and dependencies, and build tools to align with best practices.
  • CMS Setup and Content Population: Install, configure, and customize headless CMS platforms such as Storyblok, Sanity, or Prismic. Populate initial content into CMS platforms, ensuring proper formatting and asset optimization.
  • Component Scaffolding and Integration: Develop reusable, modular components and integrate CMS data seamlessly, ensuring functional integrity and streamlined maintenance.
  • Theming and Styling: Implement custom themes and style components according to designs, ensuring responsiveness, brand adherence, and a polished user experience.
  • Custom Development and Integrations: Develop custom features and integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., analytics, payment gateways) to enhance functionality.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct testing to ensure code quality, responsiveness, and accessibility, identifying and resolving bugs or performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with designers to bring projects to life, maintaining clear communication regarding progress and technical requirements.

  • Reliable Functionality: Custom features and integrations that enhance project performance and usability.

Effective Collaboration: Strong alignment between design and development teams, ensuring seamless project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js).
  • Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms such as Storyblok, Sanity, or Prismic.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of component-based architecture and reusable code practices.

  • Experience dynamically connecting CMS data to front-end components.

  • Strong attention to detail in implementing designs.

  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma to translate designs into functional code.

  • Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG compliance).

  • Proficient in Git for version control and familiar with collaborative development workflows (e.g., pull requests, branching).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Traits:

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively and provide creative solutions.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
